Trump cancels event revealing evidence of election fraud in Georgia.
Former President Donald Trump Cancels Press Conference on Voter Fraud in Georgia
Former President Donald Trump announced on Thursday night that he is canceling a highly anticipated press conference scheduled for Monday. The conference was meant to showcase significant evidence of voter fraud in Georgia during the 2020 presidential election.
Earlier this week, Trump was indicted on 13 felony counts in Fulton County for his alleged attempts to overturn the election results. In response, he took to social media to promise a “detailed but irrefutable” report on election fraud in Georgia.
“Based on the results of this CONCLUSIVE Report, all charges should be dropped against me & others – There will be a complete EXONERATION!” Trump declared. He also called for prosecutors to go after those responsible for rigging the election.
However, Trump’s lawyers urged him to reconsider holding the event, warning that it could be used against him in his case. One of his former White House lawyers even cautioned that it might lead to an obstruction charge, as it could be seen as an attempt to taint the jury pool.
“Rather than releasing the Report on the Rigged & Stolen Georgia 2020 Presidential Election on Monday, my lawyers would prefer putting this, I believe, Irrefutable & Overwhelming evidence of Election Fraud & Irregularities in formal Legal Filings as we fight to dismiss this disgraceful Indictment by a publicity & campaign finance seeking D.A., who sadly presides over a record-breaking Murder & Violent Crime area, Atlanta,” Trump explained on social media. ”Therefore, the News Conference is no longer necessary!”
The New York Times reported that the report Trump intended to release was a 100+ page document compiled by one of his communications aides, who is described as a “true believer” in the former president’s claims of election rigging and theft.
Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp responded to Trump’s statement by posting a screenshot on X (formerly known as Twitter) and refuting the claim that the election was stolen. “The 2020 election in Georgia was not stolen,” Kemp asserted.

“For nearly three years now, anyone with evidence of fraud has failed to come forward — under oath — and prove anything in a court of law,” Kemp stated. “Our elections in Georgia are secure, accessible, and fair and will continue to be as long as I am governor. The future of our country is at stake in 2024 and that must be our focus.”
