Trump shares ‘awful ordeal’ of being booked at Fulton County Jail.
Former President Donald Trump Describes “Terrible Experience” at Fulton County Jail
Former President Donald Trump spoke out about his recent booking at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, calling it a ”terrible experience.” Trump shared his thoughts with Newsmax after being booked on multiple charges related to his challenge of the 2020 election results in Georgia.
During the interview, Trump expressed his surprise at the process, saying, “I never heard the words ‘mug shot.’ They didn’t teach me that at the Wharton School of Finance.” However, he quickly turned serious, placing his fourth indictment in context and describing it as a “very sad experience” for the country.
Trump went on to criticize what he sees as a weaponized Justice Department, stating, “It’s just like one thing after the next. And what they want to do is they want to try and wear you out… just an absolute horrible thing that they’re doing. And I’ve never seen anything like it. This is a Third World country.”
In addition to his Georgia indictment, Trump is also facing charges in New York for falsifying business records and federal charges related to mishandling classified documents and conspiracy in connection to his challenge of the 2020 election results.

Trump also spoke to Fox News about the booking, revealing that Georgia officials insisted on taking a mug shot. He expressed his discomfort with the process, stating, “It is not a comfortable feeling — especially when you’ve done nothing wrong.”
Trump believes that the charges against him are a form of election interference, blaming the Washington establishment, the Department of Justice, and President Joe Biden. He expressed his concern for the state of the country, saying, “America is doing horribly, but now, it is doing worse because we have become a Third World country.”
Before leaving Atlanta, Trump emphasized his belief in the right to challenge an election, stating, “If you challenge an election, you should be able to challenge an election. I thought the election was a rigged election, a stolen election. I should have every right to do that.”
“This is their way of campaigning… It’s election interference,” Trump asserted. He thanked his supporters and reiterated his belief that he and his team did nothing wrong. He described the situation as a “travesty of justice” and expressed his disappointment in the state of the country.
