Former ⁣President ⁣Donald ⁣Trump Dominates​ Turning Point⁣ Action Conference Straw Poll

Former President Donald⁢ Trump wasted ‍no time in ​celebrating⁤ his victory at​ the Turning ‍Point‌ Action Conference’s⁣ 2024⁤ primary straw poll.⁢ Taking to ​his⁤ social⁣ media ‍platform Truth Social,​ Trump proudly announced, “Just ⁣heard​ that I (WE!) won the⁢ big Turning ⁣Point Straw ⁣Poll ⁣in ⁣a BLOWOUT,‌ getting 85.7% of ‌the ‍Vote.”

Trump⁤ Emerges ⁤as ‍the⁢ Clear Favorite

The Washington ⁤Examiner ⁣reports‌ that ⁣an​ overwhelming majority of conference attendees,⁢ 85.7%⁣ to‍ be⁣ exact, ⁣chose ⁣Trump as​ the ‌GOP’s next‌ standard-bearer. Following​ Trump were ‌businessman​ Perry ⁢Johnson⁣ with ‍7.8%⁢ support and ‍Gov.‌ Ron⁣ DeSantis ‍(R-FL) ⁣with 4.3% support.

When ⁢it ‍came to ‌the ‍attendees’ second preference, ⁣Republican presidential ⁣candidate Vivek ​Ramaswamy‍ emerged‌ as the top​ contender,‌ receiving ‍51.2% ⁣support. ‍Trump secured 21.4% ​support, ‍while ‍DeSantis garnered 13.5%.

Trump, ‍the ⁤frontrunner⁤ for​ the GOP’s ⁣2024⁢ nomination, didn’t⁢ miss the opportunity ⁢to criticize‍ DeSantis ‌and⁣ other rivals.⁢ “Ron DeSanctimonious⁤ came in a⁣ solid⁢ 3rd with ⁣4.3%, Vivek ⁢got 2%, ⁢and‍ Sloppy⁢ Chris‌ Christie, as usual, got ‌a‌ big, fat, ⁣ZERO! Turning Point‌ put on ​a⁣ GREAT⁣ event ‍in​ West ​Palm Beach, setting⁢ all ‍kinds of‌ records, including ‌in ‍attendance!” the​ former⁢ president⁣ exclaimed.

Former New‍ Jersey⁣ Gov. Chris Christie received ⁢minimal ​support ⁤in both the first⁢ and‌ second ⁤presidential preference ‌categories​ during‍ the⁢ straw‌ poll.

Conference Attendance ​and ⁤Campaign ⁣Choices

Trump ‍attended the Turning Point⁣ Action Conference over ⁤the​ weekend, opting to‍ skip​ the Family⁤ Leader’s conference⁢ in⁢ Iowa⁣ on Friday. Meanwhile, ‍DeSantis chose to ⁤campaign⁣ in Iowa ‌and at⁣ the Tennessee Republicans’ ⁣Statesmen’s Dinner, ⁣skipping⁢ the conference in ​his home ‌state.

Possible ​Vice⁤ Presidential Candidates

Former Arizona Republican ​gubernatorial candidate ‍Kari​ Lake ‌emerged ‌as⁣ the ⁤frontrunner in the ⁤possible ‍vice ‌presidential field⁣ during ⁤the ⁢straw ⁣poll, garnering‌ 30.8% support. Rep.⁣ Byron Donalds ⁣(R-FL) came‍ in second​ with 24%, ‍followed​ by ​Ramaswamy​ at 22.7% and ⁣Sen. Tim ⁤Scott⁤ (R-SC)⁣ at 6.9%.
