Trump high-top sneakers featuring assassination attempt photo sell for $299
High-top sneakers emblemed with former President Donald Trump’s assassination attempt photo are selling online for almost $300.
The sneakers are being sold by a website called Trump Sneakers, which is the same website that sold Trump’s “Never Surrender” high-tops earlier this year. The new shoes include a picture of Trump raising his fist after surviving his rally shooting. The U.S. flag is featured on the back of the shoe.
The website clarifies that these shoes are not being sold or distributed by Trump or the Trump Organization. It also claims that it is not political nor does it have anything to do with any political campaign.
Despite having no affiliation with Trump, the website says 10 of these pairs will be randomly autographed. There are also only 5,000 of these shoes to be made, all of which will be made to order.
The sale of these sneakers come after many unofficial sellers are capitalizing on the iconic photo of Trump’s survival of the assassination attempt. One shirt with the photo and the phrase “Trump 2024” under it made its way to the top rank of Amazon’s “Men’s Novelty T-Shirts” category on Monday.
Trump’s campaign website has not yet sold merchandise based on the photo at his rally. However, it has updated its shop to sell “Trump-Vance” shirts and hats, a reference to Trump’s newly selected running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH).
