Trump hits Bidenomics inflation with mini Tic-Tac prop – Washington Examiner

Former President Donald Trump hit President Joe Biden‘s economic policy failures by explaining inflation seen under the Biden administration with a miniature Tit-Tac container.

Trump was speaking at the Faith and Freedom Conference on Saturday when he pulled out the miniature prop and compared it to a normal-sized Tic-Tac container as a joke to display Biden’s economic woes.

The former president and presumptive Republican nominee said he would scrap the Delaware Democrat’s “Bidenomics” policies on his first day in office and set a “MAGAnomics” agenda.

“On Day One, we will throw out Bidenomics and replace it with MAGAnomics quickly. Under Biden, the economy is in ruins. Inflation has cost the typical family $28,000. Think of that,” Trump said. “The inflation is killing people. They make the same amount of money, or even if they made more, it doesn’t matter. Inflation is destroying them. They can’t buy anything anymore.”

Trump spoke for about 80 minutes at the conference, where he hinted at attacks he might use against Biden during their debate on June 27.

“Inflation, this is what it does to you. This is Tic-Tacs now,” Trump said, holding the prop and receiving laughter from the crowd. “That’s what inflation has done. I’m glad everybody in this room has good eyes. But I will end the Biden inflation nightmare.”

Biden has even admitted to the phenomenon to which Trump was referring, calling it “shrinkflation,” where companies are selling smaller-sized products for the same price as their normal ones in a better economic climate. However, the Biden team has attempted to divert blame for the practice to corporations for their consumer practices.

Even though Trump hinted at saving his Tic-Tac bit for the debate, props and handwritten notes will not be permitted on the stage.

Trump’s economic policies include a tariff plan to tax imports, having the Federal Reserve institute lower interest rates, and extending the tax cuts he enacted during his first term in office. Some of those cuts include getting rid of taxes on tips.

Trump has also attacked Biden for his old age and has accused him without evidence of taking drugs to perform better at the debate, saying, “They want to get him good and strong, so a little before debate time he gets a shot in the ass … I say he’ll come out all jacked up.”
