With another indictment of former President Donald Trump expected in Georgia, the political drama continues to unfold. In the midst of his legal battles over allegations of subverting the 2020 election results, the top Republican candidate has now accused President Joe Biden of attempting to “steal the Election.”
“He [Joe Biden] now wants Thug Prosecutor, Deranged Jack Smith, to file for a Court Order taking away my first amendment rights, SPEECH,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social shortly after midnight on Tuesday. “So, based on yet another Radical Left Hoax, I’ll be the only ‘Politician’ in American history not allowed to SPEAK. THE NEVER ENDING WITCH HUNT CONTINUES. MAGA!”

Meanwhile, Trump’s legal team has opposed special counsel Jack Smith’s request for a protective order, arguing that it infringes upon his rights under the First Amendment. The battle lines are drawn as Trump faces legal challenges on multiple fronts.
Following his arraignment last week on four counts related to the 2020 presidential election, prosecutors have now requested a protective order regarding Trump’s social media usage in the case. However, Trump’s lawyers have rejected this request, claiming it is overly broad.
In a separate case, a magistrate judge in Washington, D.C., has issued several orders that Trump must comply with, including a directive not to discuss the case without his attorneys present. However, just 24 hours after receiving this order, the former president seemed to violate it by posting a defiant message on Truth Social: “IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU.”
Adding to his legal woes, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis appears to be preparing to issue a fourth indictment against the former president. This comes after a lengthy investigation into Trump and his Republican allies’ alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.
