Trump inauguration portrait unveiled

President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration portrait was unveiled Wednesday evening.

The black-and-white photo of Trump shows the soon-to-be 47th president with a stern expression and a closed mouth, resembling his mug shot taken in August 2023 after he was indicted on election racketeering charges in Georgia.

Trump’s newest inauguration photo, however, is a sharp contrast to the one taken eight years ago. The inauguration photo for 2017 showed a colorful Trump with a toothy grin.

Vice President-elect J.D. Vance’s inaugural photo was also unveiled on Wednesday and is also in black and white.

Trump will be sworn in as the 47th president at noon outside the Capitol on Monday, Jan. 20. Following that, Trump will bid farewell to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
