Trump Indicted On 34 Felony Counts Of Conspiracy, Falsifying Business Records; Pleads Not Guilty
Former President Donald Trump was indicted by a grand jury on Tuesday afternoon in Manhattan, as he sat in the courtroom, on 34 counts of felony for falsifying business records and conspiracy. The charges stem from alleged payments made to porn actress Stormy Daniels and Playboy model Karen McDougal as hush money. Trump pleaded not guilty.
The judge cautioned Trump against making any incendiary remarks that could lead to violence. Trump arrived at the Manhattan Criminal Courts Building in an 11-vehicle motorcade around 1:30 p.m. EST, and posted on social media on his way to the building. He expressed disbelief that he was being arrested and called the situation “surreal,” while encouraging his supporters with the slogan “MAGA!”
Although he was arrested, Trump will neither be handcuffed nor will his photograph be taken. His next court appearance is scheduled for December 4.
