Trump Reacts to Biden’s 2024 Campaign Launch Announcement
President Joe Biden thinks his economic plan is working, but former President Donald Trump has a different opinion. In a statement released on April 25, Trump criticized Biden’s job performance, saying that “you could take the five worst presidents in American history, and put them together, and they would not have done the damage Joe Biden has done to our Nation in just a few short years.”
Meanwhile, Biden announced his 2024 campaign launch and spoke about the importance of freedom and rights in a video posted on the same day. He also targeted Trump and his supporters, saying that “MAGA extremists are lining up to take on those bedrock freedoms.”
Biden has been promoting his legislative victories, including the American Rescue Plan, Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, Inflation Reduction Act, and a government spending bill. However, inflation has been a concern, with economists warning of a possible recession due to rising interest rates. Trump blames Biden’s “socialist spending calamity” for the worst inflation in half a century and falling real wages.
Trump also criticized Biden’s handling of the Southern Border, homelessness, drug addiction, and violent crime in cities, and the military’s “woke” senior ranks. He accused Biden of humiliating the nation on the world stage, especially with the Afghanistan disaster and the threat of Iran’s nuclear bomb.
