President Donald Trump landed in Miami, Florida, on Saturday night to attend UFC 314, where he received a massive ovation from the crowd, followed by chants of “USA” as he waved to the fans.
Trump, flanked by UFC CEO Dana White, walked out to his seat near the Octagon, where he shook hands with some members of his Cabinet, including Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. He also talked briefly with podcaster Joe Rogan and Barstool Sports President Dave Portnoy.
Other Cabinet members are also in attendance, including FBI Director Kash Patel, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Top Trump adviser Elon Musk, along with his son X, are at the event as well.
The main event started at 10 p.m. ET and features Alexander Volkanovski versus Diego Lopes in the featherweight division, and American Michael Chandler versus Paddy Pimblett in the lightweight division.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One shortly before arriving at the Kaseya Center, Trump joked that Dana White, who is not fighting in the Octagon but is a close friend of his, would win the main event.
