Trump rounds out White House team with four new picks

President-elect Donald Trump announced new picks for his White House team as he is set to be inaugurated in a little over two weeks.

Trump made four picks for his White House staff on Saturday night, three of whom served in his first administration. Those returning are Robert Gabriel Jr., Nicholas F. Luna, and William “Beau” Harrison, while the new face in his administration is Stanley Woodward.

Gabriel will serve as assistant to the president for policy, Luna as assistant to the president and deputy chief of staff for strategic implementation, Harrison as assistant to the the president and deputy chief of staff for operations, and Woodward as assistant to the president and senior counselor.

Gabriel was special assistant to the president in Trump’s first term, and was also an associate producer of Fox News’s The Ingraham Angle. Luna previously worked for Vice President-elect J.D. Vance and also testified before the Jan. 6 Committee, while Harrison was praised by Trump in his announcement as a “trusted aide” who had a hand in the planning of the meetings between the president-elect and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in his first administration.

Woodward, while serving for the first time in a Trump administration, is not new to Trumpworld. A high-profile lawyer, he has represented top Trump aides such as Walt Nauta, who was charged in the now-dropped classified documents case, and people involved in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

They will all be joining Susie Wiles, Trump’s long-time campaign manager who Trump selected as his chief of staff, and Alina Habba, a lawyer and frequent spokeswoman for Trump who will be his presidential counselor.
