Trump claims he can fix Washington now as he has gained a PhD in understanding the people.
Former President Donald Trump Vows to Tackle Corruption in Washington
In a captivating speech at Turning Point USA’s Action conference in Florida, former President Donald Trump expressed his readiness to return to the White House and confront the corruption in Washington, D.C. He acknowledged that he had made some mistakes in selecting the right people for his administration during his first term, but he assured the audience that he had learned valuable lessons and would make better choices if given another opportunity.

Trump emphasized that his first term was just the beginning and that he had unfinished business to attend to. He pledged to obliterate the Deep State and assured the audience that he now knew who the trustworthy individuals were. Reflecting on his limited exposure to Washington prior to his presidency, he admitted that he had relied on others to provide him with recommendations for key positions. While many of his choices were commendable, there were also some corrupt bureaucrats that he would dismiss.
With a hint of pride, Trump declared, “Now, better than maybe anybody else, I know the great ones, I know the smart ones, I know the dumb ones, I know the weak ones, I know the stupid ones — but I know the ones because I know everybody in Washington. I got a PhD in learning about the people of Washington.”
Furthermore, Trump made a bold promise to establish a ”truth and reconciliation” commission that would declassify and disclose all documents related to censorship and surveillance. He concluded his speech by expressing his determination to bring an end to the war in Ukraine even before assuming office, vowing to broker a fair deal for all parties involved.
Notably, Trump’s speech followed his decision to decline an appearance at a presidential candidate forum hosted by former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
