Former President Trump Vows to End Ukraine-Russia War in 24 Hours

Former President Donald Trump recently stated in an interview with Britain’s GBNews and Nigel Farage that he would end the war between Ukraine and Russia within “24 hours” if elected. Trump believes that he can accomplish this because he knows Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin well.

Money and Military Aid are Key Factors

Trump believes that ending the war would be easy because “a lot of it has to do with the money” and “a lot of it has to do with the military” aid that the United States is giving. He believes that the war is a disaster and that the human loss of life is far greater than what is being reported. Trump stated that thousands of people are being killed in these cities that are being knocked down, and nobody is talking about it.

Other GOP Candidates Weigh In

Other GOP candidates have also weighed in on the conflict. GOP 2024 candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has called for ending the war in Ukraine and pledged that his administration wouldn’t give any more military aid to Kyiv. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has given different responses to the conflict, initially calling it a “territorial dispute” and suggesting that the United States not get involved, but later walking that comment back.

Trump’s Commitment to Ending the Conflict

Trump has made similar comments about stopping the Ukraine-Russia conflict in the past. The United States has provided tens of billions of dollars in weapons, equipment, and other military aid to the Zelenskyy government, as it has unleashed round after round of sanctions targeting Russia’s leadership. Trump is committed to ending the conflict and believes that he can do so quickly if elected.
