Trump signing order ending federal funding for illegal immigrants – Washington Examiner
president Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order aimed at eliminating federal funding for illegal immigrants, according to a confirmation from a White House official. The order mandates all federal agencies to identify and cease taxpayer-funded benefits that illegal immigrants currently receive, specifically targeting state sanctuary policies. This initiative is part of Trump’s broader immigration strategy to prioritize U.S. citizens and fulfill a key campaign promise.
Additionally, Trump plans to sign another executive order that focuses on federal advisory committees, aiming for greater control over federal bureaucracy and calling for the reduction of various agencies and committees. This directive will require Cabinet secretaries to submit lists for potential eliminations.
Thes actions follow a previous executive order granting Trump increased oversight of the Office of Management and Budget and autonomous agencies, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to enhancing accountability and regulation within the executive branch. The executive orders will be signed during Trump’s return to the White House from an event in Florida, where he emphasized Saudi investments in the U.S. while navigating diplomatic tensions.
Trump signing executive orders ending taxpayer funding for illegal immigrants
President Donald Trump is set to sign an executive order Wednesday evening that will eliminate federal funding going toward illegal immigration, a White House official confirmed to the Washington Examiner.
The order will direct all federal agencies and departments to identify taxpayer-funded benefits that illegal immigrants are benefiting from and “take corrective action” against these benefits to prevent any federal support for sanctuary policies in individual states.

Trump’s immigration executive order will also stipulate improvements in eligibility verification to block illegal immigrants from receiving federal benefits. Fox News reported the details of the order.
The move is part of the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown since he took office, fulfilling a key campaign promise to prioritize U.S. citizens above those in the United States unlawfully.
The president is also set to sign another executive order targeting federal advisory committees such as the U.S. Institute of Peace and the Inter-American Foundation as he seeks greater control of the federal bureaucracy with help from Elon Musk’s DOGE activities, the White House official confirmed.
Trump is set to reduce a multitude of agencies and advisory committees, although this may be complicated for those that Congress has authorized. He will also require Cabinet secretaries to submit a list of committees and boards for elimination or reduction.
Some of the initiatives that will likely be impacted include: the Health Equity Advisory Committee, the Advisory Committee on Voluntary Foreign Aid, the Presidential Management Fellows Program, the U.S. African Development Foundation, federal executive boards, and the Presidio Trust.
The order, as reported by Axios, is a follow-up to a previous order he signed Tuesday evening giving Trump presidential authority over functions in the Office of Management and Budget, as well as supervising independent agencies.
“In order to improve the administration of the executive branch and to increase regulatory officials’ accountability to the American people, it shall be the policy of the executive branch to ensure Presidential supervision and control of the entire executive branch,” the order stated. “Moreover, all executive departments and agencies, including so-called independent agencies, shall submit for review all proposed and final significant regulatory actions to the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) within the Executive Office of the President before publication in the Federal Register.”
Trump will sign these orders on Air Force One as he returns to the White House after giving a speech to the FII PRIORITY Summits hosted by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund in Miami Beach, Florida.
The president called Saudi Arabia a “special place with special leaders” as he pushed for Saudi Arabia to increase its investments in the U.S. while smoothing over tensions over his call to remove Palestinians from Gaza, angering Saudi Arabia.
