“He’s been so great. He’s been such a great advocate,” Trump told Fox News‘s Laura Ingraham during a town hall event Tuesday evening. “He has been much better for me than he was for himself. I watched his campaign, and he doesn’t like talking about himself, but boy, does he talk about Trump.”
Scott ran against Trump for the GOP presidential nomination but dropped out of the race in November. He would later endorse Trump days before the New Hampshire primary last month, in a major snub of former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.

“And honestly, all of those people are good, they’re all good, they’re all solid,” Trump said of the list of Republicans who could join his ticket. “And I always say I want people with common sense because there’s so many things happening in this country that don’t make sense.”

AGE ON THE RACE FOR THE WHITE HOUSE
The announcement from former President Donald Trump regarding his list of vice presidential contenders has created a stir among political circles. In an unexpected turn of events, Trump made it abundantly clear that his running mate would be playing a subordinate role to his leadership. This revelation has prompted both speculation and excitement about the potential candidates who could join Trump’s campaign. One name that has been singled out by Trump himself is Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina. Scott, a prominent Republican senator, has long been rumored to be a potential running mate for Trump. With his extensive experience and conservative principles, Scott has captured the attention of many within the party, making him a favorable choice for Trump’s ticket in the upcoming 2024 election. The confirmation of vice presidential contenders by Trump has sparked conversations and debates among political analysts and supporters alike. The idea of a running mate playing second fiddle to the presidential nominee is not a novel concept. However, the emphasis placed by Trump on this matter raises questions about the dynamics and power dynamics within his campaign. It is important to note that Trump’s leadership style is unique, and his approach towards selecting a vice presidential candidate reflects his unorthodox approach to politics. Throughout his presidency, Trump was known for his strong-willed leadership and inclination to rely on his own judgment. This approach could potentially impact the role of the vice president and the extent of influence they may have in decision-making processes. The confirmation of Tim Scott as a top contender for the position of vice president has garnered attention not only because of his political standing but also because of his potential to diversify the ticket. As an African American senator, Scott’s inclusion on the ticket could serve as a positive signal of inclusivity and diversity within the Republican Party. However, it is crucial to consider that this list of contenders is subject to change. Trump’s decisions and announcements have often been marked by unpredictability and volatility. As the 2024 election approaches, it is possible that Trump may reassess his choices or add new individuals to the list. The landscape of American politics is ever-evolving, and candidates must be ready to adapt and adjust their strategies accordingly. While the confirmation of vice presidential contenders by former President Donald Trump has generated significant interest, it is important to remember that the ultimate decision rests with the voters. The selection of a running mate plays a crucial role in shaping public opinion and swaying voters. With the release of this list, Trump has set the stage for a dynamic and potentially groundbreaking campaign. As the 2024 election draws near, the announcement of vice presidential contenders will undoubtedly be followed closely by political pundits and the American public alike. The eventual selection of a running mate will not only reflect the leadership style and values of the presidential nominee but also shape the course of the campaign. The stakes are high, and the choices made by Trump in the coming months will have far-reaching consequences for the Republican Party and the future of American politics.
