Trump and Tucker interview goes viral, discusses debate skip and indictments.
Former President Donald Trump’s Interview with Tucker Carlson Draws Massive Viewership
Former President Donald Trump made headlines when he chose to skip the Republican debate on Wednesday night and instead sat down for an extensive interview with Tucker Carlson. The interview quickly gained traction, amassing over 100 million views on X within hours of its release.
During the interview, Trump addressed a wide range of topics, from his absence at the debate to his thoughts on the possibility of a civil war in the United States. Carlson even asked the former president if he had concerns about an assassination attempt. The interview, which was posted on X just minutes before the debate began, garnered over 100 million views by the end of the night, according to Newsweek.
By Thursday morning, the viewership of Carlson’s interview with Trump had skyrocketed to nearly 180 million views. However, it’s important to note that the way views are counted on social media platforms can be misleading, making it difficult to determine the actual number of active viewers.
Comparatively, Carlson’s interview with GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, which was posted last week, has accumulated 44 million views. This stark contrast highlights the immense popularity and interest surrounding Trump’s interview.
During the interview, Trump attributed his decision to skip the debate to his significant lead in the polls. He opted for a one-on-one conversation with Carlson instead, emphasizing his confidence in his current position.

Trump expressed his uncertainty when asked by Carlson about the potential for violence or a civil war in the United States. He acknowledged the unprecedented level of passion and hatred present in the country, suggesting a potentially dangerous combination.
Addressing his pending legal cases, Trump dismissed them as baseless. He drew parallels to Hillary Clinton and Stacey Abrams, both of whom challenged election outcomes they disagreed with.
Trump remarked, “But now, you know, every time you see [Clinton] on television, she’s saying like, well, she’s challenging the election… So that would mean that she should be indicted, but that would mean also that Stacey Abrams in Georgia should be indicted ’cause she still thinks she won the election for governor.”
Carlson also delved into the topic of potential assassination attempts against Trump, asking if he had any concerns. Trump responded by calling his political enemies “savage animals” and describing them as sick individuals.
When it came to President Biden, Trump expressed doubts about his potential re-election bid. He also claimed that Biden is not truly in control of the country and suggested that his family’s business dealings have compromised him.
Trump highlighted his accomplishments in foreign policy, including avoiding a nuclear war with North Korea. He criticized Biden for his handling of the Ukraine-Russia conflict and accused him of allowing China to gain influence in Cuba. However, Trump emphasized that his primary concern remains immigration.
“The number one issue is securing our border and removing hundreds of thousands of criminals who have entered our country illegally,” the former president asserted.
