Donald Trump’s Defiant Interview with Tucker Carlson
Donald Trump’s recent interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has taken the internet by storm. Airing during the GOP presidential debates, which Trump refused to attend, the interview has already garnered nearly 200 million views on X.
During the interview, Trump and Carlson covered a range of topics, including the presidential campaign, competition, civil war, election integrity, and assassination attempts.
“It started with protests against you and then it moved to impeachment twice and now indictment,” Carlson told President Trump. “Are you worried that they’re going to try and kill you? Why wouldn’t they try and kill you? Honestly.”
“They’re savage animals; they’re people that are sick,” President Trump responded, adding that there were “great people in the Democrat Party” as well. “Most of the people in our country are fantastic. And I’m representing everybody. I’m not just Republicans. I represent everybody.”
Illinois Woman Arrested for Threatening Trump and His Son
Meanwhile, an Illinois woman was arrested on Monday for threatening to murder President Trump and his youngest son, Barron. The woman allegedly sent emails stating her intentions to shoot them.
On May 21, 2023, the woman emailed the headmaster of an educational institution, stating that she would “shoot Donald Trump Sr. AND Barron Trump straight in the face at any opportunity I get.” On June 5, she sent another email, threatening to “slam a bullet in Barron Trump’s head with his father IN SELF DEFENSE!”
Tucker Carlson’s Post-Fox News Interviews
Since leaving Fox News in April, Tucker Carlson has been conducting interviews with various famous personalities on his channel hosted by X. His guests have included GOP hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy, the Tate brothers, rapper Ice Cube, and Hungarian President Viktor Orban.
Is Civil War Coming?
Trump was asked about the possibility of civil war in the United States, a topic that has been hotly debated due to the country’s increasing polarization. In response, President Trump acknowledged the tremendous passion and love among the people but also noted the simultaneous hatred for what has been done to the country.
When pressed further about the potential for open conflict, President Trump replied, “I don’t know, I don’t know.” He expressed concern about the combination of intense passion and hatred.
Trump Indictments
President Trump and 18 other individuals were recently indicted in Georgia for alleged attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. This marks his fourth indictment.
The indictment includes charges such as violation of the state’s RICO act, conspiracy to commit forgery, filing false documents, and solicitation of violation of oath by a public office. Despite the indictments, Carlson pointed out that Trump’s poll numbers have not been affected.
If convicted on all counts, President Trump could face up to 76.5 years in prison. Taking into account previous indictments in New York, Miami, and Washington D.C., he could potentially face up to 717.5 years in prison, with the Washington D.C. indictment even carrying the death penalty.
President Trump dismissed the indictments as ”trivia” and expressed confidence in the intelligence of the American people.
