Trump: ‘We must remain strong against radical abortionists.’

Former President Trump Vows to Fight for Pro-Life Policies

In a recent speech, former president and 2024 candidate Donald Trump emphasized the significant role his administration played in promoting pro-life policies. He pledged to continue the fight against “demented late-term abortionists” if re-elected.

“I’m proud to be the most pro-life president in American history. From day one, I took historic action to protect the unborn,” Trump declared at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s annual conference in Washington on June 24.

Trump also highlighted the confirmation of three Supreme Court Justices—Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett—who played a pivotal role in the landmark decision to end Roe v. Wade. He stated, “Exactly one year ago today, those justices were the pivotal votes in the Supreme Court’s landmark decision ending the constitutional atrocity known as Roe v. Wade.”

“As your President, I will continue to proudly stand for pro-life policies, just as I did for four strong years… We cannot be afraid to take on the Democrat extremists. We have to be strong and powerful. That’s why, when I’m re-elected, I will continue to fight against the demented late-term abortionists in the Democrat Party who believe in unlimited abortion on demand and even executing babies after birth,” Trump affirmed.

“Remember the governor of Virginia? He said, ‘Yes, the baby is born, you lay the baby aside, and then you make a determination as to what to do with the babies.’ In other words, he would kill the baby after. And you have many who believe in that, that’s what they want. They are the radical extremists, we’re not the radical extremists. And politicians have to say that,” Trump recalled, referring to former Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam.

Trump emphasized the importance of the federal government’s role in protecting unborn life, stating, “There remains a vital role for the federal government in protecting unborn life, and it’s very important.”

During his presidency, Trump made significant strides in the pro-life movement. He became the first sitting president to attend the March for Life rally in Washington D.C. He also reinstated and expanded the Mexico City policy, which prevented U.S. government global health funds from supporting foreign groups providing abortions.

Negotiating Power and Rejoining the Geneva Consensus

In his speech, Trump highlighted the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, stating that it has given pro-life supporters “negotiating power for the first time ever.”

“You now have tremendous negotiating power. With Roe v. Wade, you had none. We’ve now given pro-life people tremendous power to negotiate something that will be good for everybody,” Trump explained.

“You didn’t have that power before. They could do anything. They could kill the baby after the baby was born. They could kill the baby,” he added.
