Tucker Carlson: Reflecting on His Involvement in American Politics

In a recent interview on Russell Brand’s podcast, Tucker Carlson opened up about his decision to step into the world of American politics in November 2022. Admitting that he made a “huge mistake,” Carlson expressed his intention to refrain from commenting on the upcoming Republican or Democratic primaries.

When asked about his relationship with former President Donald Trump, Carlson made it clear that he would not delve into the intricacies of the 2024 election. However, he expressed his personal admiration for Trump, acknowledging his own errors in predicting election outcomes in various states.

Carlson emphasized that his true interests lie in ideas and people, rather than politics. He mentioned the ongoing primary race between Trump and other contenders like Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy, but stated that he has no plans to comment on it.

Despite his aversion to politics, Carlson highlighted Trump’s foreign policy views, particularly regarding the Ukraine war. He commended Trump for questioning why the United States supports an ongoing conflict in Ukraine, contrasting this with the prevailing stance in Washington.

While Carlson expressed his hope that both Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is running against President Joe Biden in the Democratic primary, secure their parties’ nominations, he acknowledged that it will be a challenging endeavor.
