Tucker Carlson admits error: “I was wrong about Trump and the election.”
Tucker Carlson Admits Mistake and Reflects on Trump’s Impact
In a recent interview with British comedian Russell Brand, Tucker Carlson opened up about his departure from Fox News and his new Twitter program. The conversation naturally turned to politics and former President Donald Trump.
Brand mentioned that many people on their platform see Trump as the solution to America’s problems and the “Great Swamp Drainer.” Carlson acknowledged that he has had varying positions on Trump in the past, but he now personally loves him.
However, Carlson admitted that he made a “huge mistake” in getting involved in American politics and making predictions about the election. He confessed that he was wrong on almost every call and realized that he is not a skilled political analyst.
Despite his lack of interest in politics, Carlson believes that Trump’s emergence will be the most significant thing to happen in American politics in a hundred years. He praised Trump for reorienting the Republican Party against the wishes of Republican leaders.
One aspect of Trump’s campaign that stood out to Carlson was his foreign policy views, particularly his stance on the endless war in Ukraine. Carlson expressed gratitude for Trump’s position, stating that he is right and everyone in Washington is wrong.
Carlson concluded by emphasizing the importance of speaking the truth and commending Trump for doing so. He believes that Trump’s words and his understanding of certain issues, like Ukraine, truly matter.
