Tucker Carlson at Alabama fundraiser this week.
Tucker Carlson to Appear at Fundraiser for Adults with Developmental Disabilities
Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson is set to make an appearance at a fundraiser in Alabama this week, just over a week after parting ways with the network. The event, scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m., is being held by Rainbow Omega, a group dedicated to providing care for adults with developmental disabilities.
Supporting a Worthy Cause
According to Tim Hodge, CEO of Rainbow Omega, Carlson was booked for the event last fall and has honored his commitment to attend. Hodge told AL.com that there has been renewed interest in the fundraiser since Carlson’s recent departure from Fox News. “Anytime you have a featured speaker from the world of politics, with our country’s political divide, you can bet there’s a lot of interest,” he said.
Tickets for the event can be purchased on the Oxford Performing Arts Center website, with proceeds going to Rainbow Omega. The group’s mission is to “glorify God by ensuring that adults with developmental disabilities have a permanent and safe home where their abilities and potentials are respected and nurtured in a Christian environment.”
Speaking Out Against Censorship
Carlson has been making headlines since his departure from Fox News, with many speculating about the reasons behind the split. However, the former host has been vocal about his views on censorship and the suppression of opposing viewpoints. In a video that has garnered millions of views, Carlson expressed his belief that political parties, donors, and the media are working to silence those who disagree with them.
“As long as you can hear the words, there is hope,” Carlson said in the video. “Where can you still find Americans saying true things? There aren’t many places left, but there are some and that’s enough. See you soon.”
Despite the controversy surrounding his departure from Fox News, Carlson’s appearance at the Rainbow Omega fundraiser is sure to draw a crowd. Not only will attendees be supporting a worthy cause, but they’ll also have the opportunity to hear from one of the most outspoken voices in American politics.
