John Kerry Praises ‘Select Group Of People’ For ‘Saving The Planet’
John Kerry, White House Special Climate Envoy addressed Participants at Tuesday’s World Economic Forum in Davos gave praise to the group for its efforts to combat the climate change. Some critics mocked Kerry’s comments, calling her out of touch.
“When you stop and think about it, it’s pretty extraordinary that we — a select group of human beings because of whatever touched us at some point in our lives — are able to sit in a room and come together and actually talk about saving the planet,” Kerry was adamant on Tuesday. “I mean, it’s so almost extraterrestrial to think about ‘saving the planet.’”
Kerry said that Kerry was right. “If you said that to most people, most people would think you’re just a crazy, tree-hugging, leftie, liberal do-gooder … but really that’s where we are.”

Federal Security Guard Shoots Philadelphia Man Armed with Knife, Wired Vest
