Nashville Shooting Update
An ex-middle school friend of the Covenant school shooter received startling Instagram messages shortly before the attack. The messages revealed the shooter’s plan to die the very same day and warned the recipient, “You’ll probably hear about me on the news after I die.”. The authorities have commended the heroic, quick action of officers Rex Engelbert and Michael Collazo who ran towards the scene and killed the assailant upon arriving at the scene.
China’ Influence in Utah
According to a recently published report from the Associated Press, Utah’s lawmakers have formed bonds with China that have given them leverage to achieve public relations and legislative victories. The report reveals that Chinese influence in the region is due to the lawmakers’ ties to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Church has long dreamed of expanding its activities in China, and some speculate that this delayed decision to shut down Chinese propaganda groups could be a sign of the Church’s accomplishment.
Deadly Migrant Center Fire
Over 39 people, mostly Venezuelan migrants, have died in a fire at a migrant detention center run by Mexico’s National Migration Institute located in Ciudad, Juarez, near the US border. The authorities have confirmed that around 29 individuals currently receiving medical attention are in delicate to serious condition. The tragic event happened after the migrants discovered that they were going to be deported, and in protest, put mattresses at the shelter’s entrance, which they set on fire.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas languished to testify whether Mexico was a trustworthy partner in halting the flow of illicit border crossing and drugs over the southern border.
Miracle Baby: A Symbol of Hope
The baby born in Maine eight months ago, nicknamed “Winner” as the youngest surviving baby ever born in the state, went home after spending several months in the hospital’s care. According to MaineHealth, “Winner” will require a series of follow-ups with the experts but is alive and healthy.
