D.C. Shooting At Funeral Home
Earlier today, a fatal shooting occurred outside the Stewart Funeral Home in Northeast Washington. Three more people were injured during the shooting, and police have asked citizens to be on the lookout for a green vehicle that fled the scene. D.C.’s Police Chief, Robert Contee, suggests that the shooting might have been a targeted attack.
Classified Docs Update
The Biden administration is warning journalists against investigating the leaked classified documents about U.S. foreign policy and intelligence operations. The National Security Council spokesman, John Kirby, remarked that the documents are not intended for public consumption and should not be disclosed to others, as it can destabilize national security. The documents reveal that U.S. ally Egypt had allegedly considered supplying 40,000 rockets to Russia and that the U.S. was spying on several of its allies’ leaders.

A Tennessee State Representative, Justin Jones (D-Nashville), who was ousted for participating in the Tennessee State House protests, has been reappointed.
San Francisco Flagship Whole Foods Store Closes Due To Crime
Despite being one of the most well-known grocery store chains, a Whole Foods location in San Francisco recently had to close because of rampant drug use, which made it dangerous for employees. San Francisco has seen a sharp increase in crime rates lately, with a significant fall in the number of arrests over the previous three years.
Trump Returning To New York For More Legal Drama
Former President Trump returns to New York this week to be questioned about his dealings by Democratic prosecutor Letitia James. He will also be deposed in a $250 million civil case brought by James, just one week after Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg officially charged him in connection with alleged “hush money” payments. The judge in his case has said that it essentially all boils down to whether his financial interest statements were true or not.
COVID Emergency Is Officially Over
President Biden formally terminated the national emergency over the COVID pandemic on Monday, three years after the federal and state governments originally enacted a two-week order to “flatten the curve” of the virus. However, almost 200 House Democrats voted against ending the emergency declaration.
