TV Viewership of the State of the Union Fell Nearly One-Third From Last Year
Roughly 10 million fewer viewers watched President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address Tuesday night, compared to viewership for his 2022 address, according to Nielsen data.
The data was published Wednesday Deadline It shows a one third fall in ratings between last year and 2023.
An estimated 27.3 million people viewed the 2023 address on 16 television networks, compared with 38.2 million last.
Nielsen records also show that the 29% drop in attendance for the State of the Union address marks the lowest audience number in at least thirty years.
Fox News was the most watched channel with 4.69million viewers, followed closely by ABC with 4.4million viewers.
