Honduran illegal immigrant charged with murder in Nashville, deported twice.
Illegal Alien Charged with Murder in Tennessee
A twice deported illegal alien from Honduras is facing murder charges in Tennessee after a man’s body was discovered in a burnt-out vehicle in Nashville.
Kevin Castro-Garcia has been charged with the murder of 37-year-old Elmer Nahum Miranda-Martinez, whose body was found in the trunk of a car that had been set on fire in a wooded area. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has placed an immigration detainer on Castro-Garcia.
“This unlawfully present Honduran national is a threat to the safety of our local communities. He is a gang member with Sur 13, a transnational criminal organization. ERO New Orleans will pursue all possible criminal and administrative avenues to see that he is prosecuted and removed from our local community,” said ERO New Orleans Field Office Director Mellissa Harper.
The detainer requires state or local law enforcement to notify ICE before releasing Castro-Garcia from custody. He is currently being held in Davidson County Jail.
Castro-Garcia’s history with immigration authorities dates back to 2002 when he was encountered by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol. Despite multiple deportations, he has repeatedly reentered the United States illegally.
In October 2018, Castro-Garcia was arrested by Border Patrol near Hidalgo, Texas, and was deported to Honduras. However, he managed to enter the U.S. illegally for a third time at an unknown date and location.
The arrest of Castro-Garcia comes amidst concerns over the Biden administration’s reported plans to release illegal immigrants into Tennessee. Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti has filed a complaint against the Department of Homeland Security and ICE regarding this issue.

How can a writer effectively address an incomplete writing prompt while still adhering to the principles of the PAA
The PAA (Point, Analysis, and Application) is a framework commonly used in academic writing to structure paragraphs and ensure clarity and coherence. When faced with an incomplete writing prompt, a writer can still effectively address it by following these principles.
1. Identify the point: Begin by analyzing the given information and identifying the main idea or topic suggested by the prompt. Look for keywords that indicate the direction the prompt is heading towards.
2. Conduct analysis: Even with an incomplete prompt, it is possible to analyze the topic using your existing knowledge or research. Break down the main idea into smaller components or subtopics that can be explored in greater detail.
3. Develop a thesis statement: Formulate a clear and concise thesis statement that represents your understanding of the topic based on the incomplete prompt. This statement will serve as the central point of your response and guide the rest of your writing.
4. Provide evidence and support: Use relevant evidence, examples, or research to support your thesis statement. Draw upon your existing knowledge or conduct further research to strengthen your arguments and provide a well-rounded perspective.
5. Apply the concepts: Apply the ideas, theories, or concepts you have discussed to real-life situations or provide practical applications. This step showcases the relevance and significance of your analysis to the broader context.
6. Conclude effectively: Summarize your main points and restate your thesis statement in the conclusion. Provide a concise summary of your analysis and its implications, ensuring that the reader understands the significance of your response.
By adhering to the PAA principles, a writer can effectively address an incomplete writing prompt by providing a focused, well-structured, and comprehensive response. The PAA framework allows for organizing ideas coherently, supporting arguments with evidence, and showcasing critical thinking skills, even in the absence of a fully formed prompt.
