Twitter Will Never Stop Censoring Conservatives. It’s Broken Beyond Repair

John Daniel Davidson, senior editor at The Federalist, experienced the ordeal of Twitter when he got locked out of his Twitter account for stating publicly that Rachel Levine, a high-ranking official in the Biden administration’s Department of Health and Human Services, is a man. Levine is transgender, identifies and dresses as a woman, but he is a man. Davidson expressed his concern that this kind of behaviour amounts to Big Tech censorship in the name of woke ideology, regardless of the truth.

Davidson’s colleague, Sean Davis, was also locked out of Twitter’s platform recently. All he did was factually report on the “Trans Day Of Vengeance” following the shooting of three children and three staff members at a Christian school in Tennessee by a transgender aggressor. Twitter claimed that Davis broke rules against violent speech simply by stating a fact.

Twitter’s policy on “misgendering” is likened to affirming that a person struggling with anorexia is overweight and needs to lose more weight. Moreover, Davidson notes that Twitter’s policy on content moderation is far-fetched, almost like suppressing disfavored speech under the guise of neutrality. In Davidson’s opinion, even with all of Elon Musk’s promises about Twitter heralding a new era of free speech, Twitter remains an inhospitable haven for free speech.

In conclusion, the inherent problem with content moderation and enforcement on all social media platforms, including Twitter, is evident since censorship and propaganda are ubiquitous as long as these companies believe they can and should regulate what people say online.
