‘Two sexes, and that’s all there is to it’: Biologist defends JK Rowling’s anti-transgender comments
A biologist has defended Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling’s comments on biological sex as the defining factor for determining one’s gender. Renowned biologist and atheist Richard Dawkins concurred with Rowling, stating that there are only two biological sexes.
Rowling has drawn ire for her tweets criticizing gender-inclusive language, and so too has Dawkins following his expression of biological facts. The biologist considers that threatening and bullying Rowling for her comments, and beliefs constitutes a form of cancel culture.
Richard Dawkins says JK Rowling and Kathleen Stock have been “bullied” while standing up for themselves over trans issues.

Dawkins claims that as a biologist, there are only two sexes, and he is only interested in biological sex, not gender identity. He further defends his statements on the scientific basis behind them and considers cancel culture behavior an anomaly that has sometimes decried debate and discussion on issues.

Dawkins himself has experienced backlash in the past for supporting discussions about activists’ demands to change language and biological definitions to reflect more nuanced perspectives. Nevertheless, he stands by biological facts that there are only two sexes and finds criticism or vilification over this odd.
