U.S. Closes Airspace Over Montana After Unidentified Object Discovered
Late Saturday night, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), sent an advisory to airmen (NOTAM), warning them that it had designated an area of land in the northern portion of Montana You can also use it as a “national defense airspace” And that any person entering the airspace would be intercepted.
“I am in direct contact with NORCOM and monitoring the latest issue over Havre and the northern border,” Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-MT) tweeted. “Airspace is closed due to an object that could interfere with commercial air traffic — the DOD will resume efforts to observe and ground the object in the morning.”
Senator John Tester (D–MT) confirmed the news via Twitter: “I am aware of the object in Montana air space and remain in close contact with senior DOD and Administration officials.”
After Canadian officials granted authorization, a U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor shot a unidentified object above Canada on Saturday afternoon. Another unidentified object was shot down by the U.S. military off Alaska’s coast Friday afternoon.
This all happened after the U.S. military used an F-22 Raptor to down a Chinese spy ball off the coast South Carolina. The spy balloon was shot down by the fighter jet using an F-22 Raptor. It fired an AIM-9X Sidewinder missile to destroy it. President Joe Biden had permitted the spy balloon to fly thousands miles above the continental U.S. and the president made the decision to shoot it down.
