The United Auto‌ Workers (UAW) is ramping up its strike against Ford and General Motors, as negotiations have hit a roadblock. The labor ⁢dispute has now entered its 15th day, and UAW President Shawn Fain announced that an additional 7,000 members will ‌join the strike. A total of 25,000 UAW-represented members will be on strike, leading to ⁢a halt in production for several brands, including Buick, Chevrolet, Ford, and Lincoln. While the UAW claims that negotiations are at a standstill, GM states that it has not ⁤received a comprehensive counteroffer.
