FBI offers information in response to pressure to reveal Biden bribery document.
FBI Director Offers ‘Extraordinary’ Information on Biden Bribery Allegation
The FBI director, Christopher Wray, is under pressure to reveal documents connecting President Joe Biden to a bribery scheme. Facing a contempt of Congress charge, Wray has offered “extraordinary” information to the House Oversight Committee.
“We have identified additional information that we are prepared to offer the committee as an extraordinary accommodation.”
Committee Chairman Holds Wray in Contempt
The committee chairman, James Comer (R., Ky.), announced that he would hold Wray in contempt for refusing to turn over the documents. The investigation is focused on the finances of Biden and his family, including a bribery scheme involving a foreign national and Joe Biden when he served as vice president.
- The FBI missed Comer’s previous deadline for the documents
- The Washington Free Beacon reported on the alleged bribery scheme
- A whistleblower who provided information on the scheme has gone missing
Separate IRS Probe on Hunter Biden
A separate probe by the IRS is also investigating Hunter Biden, the president’s son. Two whistleblowers have come forward alleging that the agency is giving Hunter Biden “preferential treatment” in that case.
Comer is expected to talk with Wray on Wednesday to discuss the “extraordinary” information offered by the FBI director.
