“Unfiltered With Dan Bongino” the Most Viewed Show in Primetime Last Week

Fox News’ Dan Bongino was the host of Fox News and received some great news. A new report by Week in Ad found that Bongino’s show was the most-watched primetime show in all of cable news.

At 9 p.m. ET, Bongino racked up 1.19 million viewers. Bongino received 1.19 million viewers total in the ET time slot. CNN had 219,000 total viewers, while MSNBC garnered 315,000 viewers. At 8 p.m. ET, Brian Kilmeade, Fox News host, received 1.06 million viewers. Fox News host Brian Kilmeade drew 1.06 million viewers in the 8 p.m. ET slot. CNN has 282,000 viewers, while MSNBC has 282,000.

Bongino is not the only Fox News host that’s dominating the ratings.

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld’s late-night comedy show on the network continues to smash the ratings. A new study on cable news ratings has shown that “Gutfeld!” On Tuesday night, 2.2 million viewers were totaled, beating “The Ingraham Angle,” This was aired right before the show.

“Gutfeld! was the 6th highest-rated show overall on cable news in total viewers and the 3rd highest-rated in the key 25-54 age demographic — behind Tucker Carlson and The Five — which was co-hosted by Greg Gutfeld. In the 11 p.m. hour, Gutfled! crushed its cable news competition as CNN brought in only 371,000 total viewers and MSNBC scored 972,000,” Mediaite reported.

Nielsen Media Research showed that Gutfeld! Averaged 2.1 Million viewers through 2022

“The size of that viewing audience bests both NBC’s ‘The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon’ and ABC’s ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ and also consistently trumps such cable rivals as Comedy Central’s ‘The Daily Show’ and HBO’s ‘Last Week Tonight’ and ‘Real Time With Bill Maher,’” The report .

Vox, an organization that is more liberal in its news coverage, said that “The biggest comedy show on late-night right now is not on ABC or NBC or CBS or Fox. It’s not on Comedy Central. It’s certainly not streaming. It’s on Fox News, and its name is ‘Gutfeld!’”

CNN is currently developing its own late night show to compete against Gutfeld. They are also looking for more progressive candidates.

Overall, Fox had fully 92 of the 100 highest-rated cable news telecasts for the week. Among viewers 25-54, the demographic group most valued by advertisers, Tucker Carlson Tonight was first with 442,000 viewers, followed by The Five (374,000 viewers), Hannity (303,000 viewers), Jesse Watters Primetime (266,000 viewers) and Special Report with Bret Baier (256,000 viewers).”

Fox News, including Tucker Carlson, the network’s flagship anchor, continues to dominate cable news ratings. It was again first on Wednesday night. Four of its shows brought in more than three millions viewers, while CNN never reached the one million mark.

Mediaite reported: “Tucker Carlson led the ratings with 3.72 million total viewers, beating out The Five — which regularly lands atop the charts. Jesse Watters came in third place with 3.16 million total viewers, while Sean Hannity came in fourth with 3.08 million total viewers. MSNBC’s top-rated show was All in with Chris Hayes which brought in 1.66 million total viewers.”

In the coveted 25 – 54 demographics, Fox News led again with 246,000 to MSNBC’s 113,000 and CNN’s 104,000 for the day.

Primetime numbers were also impressive, with Fox News leading with 421,000 and MSNBC with 139,000 and 148,000 respectively.
