Democratic Del. ⁣Stacey Plaskett of the Virginia Islands Speaks Out on Censorship and Free ⁤Speech

Last week, Democratic Del. Stacey Plaskett of the Virginia Islands delivered⁢ a powerful speech⁣ at the House Judiciary Subcommittee Hearing on⁢ Censorship​ and Free Speech.‌ But it wasn’t just ‍her words that caught people’s attention.

As Plaskett passionately addressed the committee, her aide, seated behind her, could be seen silently mouthing the same words she was speaking. It⁢ was a mesmerizing sight that added an intriguing element to the proceedings.

“I ⁤wanted to ⁣introduce into the record page 55 from the committee’s interview with FBI⁢ employee Laura Dehmlow,” Plaskett began. “In that line,‌ [Dehmlow] says the question was asked,‍ ‘Ok, if ⁣someone were to leave here today, were to leave this interview and were to⁤ suggest or imply that when you said the laptop was real, that it‌ meant that the FBI had affirmatively determined in October 2020 that ⁣the laptop belonged to Hunter Biden, that the ‌contents belonged to Hunter Biden, and that the contents had not been manipulated in some‍ way, would they be representing what you⁤ said?'”

But here’s where things took an interesting turn.

As Plaskett uttered the word “representing,” her lip-syncing aide seemed slightly alarmed. The aide quickly stood⁢ up ‌and approached Plaskett, whispering into her ear, “misrepresenting.”

After being ‌fact-checked by her aide, Plaskett continued her speech, while the aide sighed and fidgeted with her hair. It was a peculiar moment that didn’t go unnoticed by viewers.

Conservative journalist “TexasLindsay” took to ‍Twitter to express her concerns about the incident. “Plaskett’s aide apparently memorized her entire speech and lip-synced as she read it—but the look in her eyes is what concerns me‍ the most,” she wrote.
