Virginia AG To Subpoena Internal Report On Loudoun Rape Coverup, GOP Boots School Board Chair For Hiding It
Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares requested that Loudoun County Public Schools be subpoenaed for an internal investigation they ordered into their handling of a girl-room rape. The report was about the school’s response to a case in which a man in skirts took part in the attack. series of moves His office could help bring to an end the rebellion of northern Virginia’s schools districts.
The report was withheld by the school system, who paid an attorney to prepare it, even though its purpose was accountability. The Daily Wire published the story. rape coverup and its most far-left member resigned, the board selected a moderate Republican, Jeff Morse, as its chairman — perhaps in an attempt to fend off criticism that the board’s commitment to leftist politics had led to a rape coverup and subsequent sexual assault of a second girl.
Morse voted with Democrats to hide the report. As a result, Friday’s Loudoun County Republican Committee vote to censure Morse and end all ties.
On the same day, D.C.’s ABC affiliate According to reports, Miyares filed a motion to subpoena the report. This could reveal what LCPS knew regarding the rapes and their aftermath. Even if the report is a whitewash it may be interesting to contrast the results of the probe by a special grand jury, which was commissioned and found serious issues.
All of the then-school board membersBoth Democrats and Republicans knew or had to know that Scott Ziegler, the then-Superintendent of Scott Ziegler’s, was lying when he said that he didn’t have any records of assaults in bathroom bathrooms. Ziegler had just sent an email to his board weeks earlier informing them of the maiden bathroom attack. It did not include details.
None of the board members raised the issue in the moment — during a meeting where the board and superintendent were trying to dismiss parents’ criticism that a pending transgender bathroom policy could pose safety issues.
Morse first was elected to the Loudoun school board in 2011. This was during a period when Loudoun was heavily Republican and when few were paying attention to school boards. Parents activists claim that many of those who were elected to school boards in this era, affiliating themselves with the most popular political party, are not effective guardians against politicization.
Following the expose by The Daily Wire of the rape over-coverup in the 1980s, Glenn Youngkin was elected Republican governor while Miyares became attorney general. The pair called for an investigation into schools. A grand jury report found that the school system refused to cooperate repeatedly with the special Grand jury.

Grand jury releases a fact-finding report That revealed that there were some very serious issues, such as that a teacher entered the bathroom while the rape was taking place and saw two young girls. Then, even though the student had been charged with the crime, school officials knew that the student was harassing other girls and simply asked him to write down a note that he would quit.
However, a statement attributed jointly to Morse, Democrat vice chair Ian Serotkin, seemed to revel in the fact that the school system was freed from accountability. “We are pleased that the Special Grand Jury’s extensive investigation found no evidence of criminal conduct on the part of anyone within LCPS, and not a single indictment was filed as a result of this lengthy process.”
Officials found the statement embarrassing because it stated that the work of the grand jury was still ongoing. Ziegler, the spokesperson for the school system, were then interviewed the following day. indicted.
Loudoun GOP’s censure Morse slams Morse’s actions as a failure, saying that “Mr. Morse had foreknowledge of criminality by the LCPS Administration regarding both the existence and truthfulness of public communications related to the ongoing events.”

Such rescission includes immediate removal of all public statements of support towards Mr. Morse by the LCRC and prohibits Mr. Morse from any future verbal or written communications, statements, or affirmations of Republican support,” It was.

Morse didn’t respond to a request for comments.
