Virginia Giuffre’s Lawyers Demand Proof Prince Andrew Couldn’t Sweat
Lawyers for Virginia Giuffre, who claims that she was forced by Jeffery Epstein to have sex with Prince Andrew three times in 2001, are demanding that the British member of the Royal Family hand over documentation that proves his inability to sweat — a bizarre excuse he presented as proof that he had never met Giuffre.
According to court documents, Giuffre’s attorneys have requested information about Andrew’s “alleged medical condition of anhidrosis, hyperhidrosis” as part of an ongoing civil case against the prince in a New York court.
“Ms Giuffre, 38, alleges that Prince Andrew sexually assaulted her when she was a teenager at the homes of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell,” the BBC reported. “Prince Andrew has consistently denied the allegations.”
During a controversial interview with the BBC in 2019, Andrew claimed that he never got sweaty in a club with Giuffre in 2001 — prior to the pair allegedly having sex — citing a medical condition which would make such perspiration impossible.
“She was very specific about that night, she described dancing with you,” Emily Maitlis asked Prince Andrew in 2019. “No,” Prince Andrew responded.
“And you profusely sweating and that she went on to have bath possibly,” Maitlis continued.
“There’s a slight problem with the sweating because I have a peculiar medical condition which is that I don’t sweat or I didn’t sweat at the time and that was… was it… yes, I didn’t sweat at the time because I had suffered what I would describe as an overdose of adrenaline in the Falklands War when I was shot at and I simply… it was almost impossible for me to sweat,” Prince Andrew claimed. “And it’s only because I have done a number of things in the recent past that I am starting to be able to do that again. So I’m afraid to say that there’s a medical condition that says that I didn’t do it so therefore…”
In response to the request for evidence of such a medical condition, Prince Andrew’s lawyers said he objected to the request “on the grounds that it is harassing and seeks confidential and private information and documents that are irrelevant, immaterial and not reasonably calculated to lead to the discovery of admissible evidence.”
“The motion also includes requests for details of Prince Andrew’s trips on Epstein’s planes, and communication he had with Epstein and Maxwell,” the BBC added.
Following the conviction of Ghislaine Maxwell, a close associate of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, on sex trafficking charges, Prince Andrew’s legal team have reportedly engaged in “emergency talks.”
Maxwell was found guilty on five of six counts of sex trafficking and other charges connected with allegations that Epstein, who died by suicide in a federal prison in August 2019, sexually abused and trafficked underage girls
