He further claimed that there were federal law enforcement agents and paid FBI informants present at the Capitol on Jan. 6, and that the FBI lost track of how many informants were involved.
When Phillip challenged Ramaswamy to provide evidence for his claims, he questioned why footage of law enforcement using force against the crowd was suppressed. He also mentioned footage showing Capitol police allowing people into the building.
Ramaswamy drew parallels between the events of Jan. 6 and the alleged plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, where government agents were accused of entrapment.
Despite Phillip’s attempts to interrupt and accuse Ramaswamy of misleading the audience, the crowd seemed to support his arguments.
