Vivek Ramaswamy narrows gap with Ron DeSantis: Poll shows progress.

Support for Vivek Ramaswamy Grows in 2024 GOP Primary Race

Exciting news for Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy! A recent national poll conducted by Echelon Insights reveals that his numbers are steadily rising, posing a challenge to Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) in the 2024 GOP primary race.

Ramaswamy’s support has now reached 10%, while DeSantis’s popularity has dipped from 19% to 16% between May and June. This drop in support has created a six-point gap between the two candidates. Prior to this new data, Ramaswamy was polling at eight percent.

Former President Donald Trump continues to maintain a strong lead at 49%, according to the poll results. The remaining six notable GOP candidates, including DeSantis and Ramaswamy, are polling in the single digits.

Although Ramaswamy still has a long way to go before surpassing DeSantis, he has gained significant popularity among Republican voters. This surge in support came after Ramaswamy became the only presidential candidate to publicly stand by Trump following his federal indictment last month.

The data was collected from a survey of 413 Republican/Republican-leaning voters, who were asked about their preferred candidate in the next presidential election if the GOP primary were held today.

The poll revealed that if Ramaswamy were chosen as the Republican nominee in 2024, he would have 40% support among those surveyed. Trump and DeSantis were leading with 66% and 52% respectively. Respondents were allowed to choose multiple candidates for the question.

The Echelon Insights poll surveyed a total of 1,020 respondents from June 26-29 and had a margin of error of plus or minus nearly four percent.

Ramaswamy launched his presidential campaign in February, focusing on an “anti-woke” platform and aiming to save America from its “national identity crisis.”
