Vivek Ramaswamy willing to pardon Hunter Biden as President.
Republican Candidate Open to Pardoning Hunter Biden if Elected President
In a bold move, Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has expressed his willingness to consider pardoning Hunter Biden if he wins the election. Ramaswamy, a 38-year-old biotech millionaire, believes that such a pardon would help the nation move forward after what he perceives as politically motivated prosecution.
According to the New York Post, Ramaswamy stated that he would evaluate pardons for members of the Biden family, including Hunter, once he has reformed the FBI and Department of Justice and pardoned victims of politically motivated persecution, such as those involved in the peaceful January 6 protests and former President Donald Trump.
Attorney General Merrick Garland recently announced the appointment of U.S. Attorney David Weiss as a special counsel to investigate Hunter Biden’s alleged tax fraud and gun possession charges. This development has further fueled the debate surrounding the Biden family’s legal troubles.
Ramaswamy has been vocal about his support for pardoning Donald Trump if he were to be found guilty in investigations related to classified documents and his involvement in the Capitol incursion. In fact, he even sent a letter to his GOP rivals, urging them to either pledge to pardon Trump or explain their decision not to.
To emphasize his commitment to transparency, Ramaswamy filed a lawsuit against the Department of Justice for failing to respond to his Freedom of Information Act request regarding communications between the White House and DOJ in the classified documents case against Trump.
Despite being in third place with 6.1 percent support in the Real Clear Politics average of polls for the Republican presidential primary, Ramaswamy’s stance on pardoning Hunter Biden and Donald Trump has garnered attention and sparked discussions within the party.
