Zero-based budgeting, don’t start with last year’s budget as the baseline, start with zero, literally zero as the baseline, and then build it up for what’s actually necessary. That’s how we’re going to address a national debt crisis.”
The House passed the continuing resolution with an overwhelming majority of 335-91, surpassing the two-thirds majority threshold required for the legislation to advance on suspension. The measure will now proceed to the Senate for consideration. If approved by the Senate, it will then be presented to President Joe Biden for the final decision and signature.
Ramaswamy’s remarks at the GOP convention followed his participation in the second Republican National Committee primary debate in Simi Valley, California, just three days prior.
During the debate, several candidates criticized Ramaswamy, including former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, who delivered a sharp rebuke to the first-time presidential candidate, stating, “Honestly, every time I hear you, I feel a little bit dumber for what you say.”
