However, since details of the meeting were leaked, it made the opportunity for it to be private “impossible,” a source familiar told Axios.

Senate Democrats are still expected to have their regularly scheduled luncheon on Tuesday, and House Democrats are having their weekly closed-door meeting the same day. The Democratic Party has about six weeks until the Democratic National Convention, where its presidential nominee will be selected.

The party has to deal with several deadlines as well, should Biden be replaced, in order to ensure the candidate makes it on every state’s ballot.
