President Joe Biden Booed by Crowd in California
President Joe Biden faced an unwelcoming crowd in California after he attended a pilates class during his weeklong vacation to Lake Tahoe.
Biden, who had been staying at an $18 million mansion on the lake, encountered the boos on Friday, just a day before his return to the White House. As he approached reporters for questions, the boos erupted.
This was not the first time Biden had attended a pilates and spin class during his vacation, as noted in his public schedule.
Criticism for Vacationing Amid Wildfires
Biden has faced criticism for vacationing while devastating wildfires ravaged Hawaii.
Last week, the president spent less than six hours in Hawaii before returning to his vacation. During his brief visit, he consoled survivors by sharing a personal story about a kitchen fire that occurred in his home in 2004. Shortly after, he jetted back to resume his vacation.
Despite initially addressing the disaster, Biden went four days without further comment and has repeatedly declined to respond to media inquiries about it.
