What happened: Karine Jean-Pierre, the top spokeswoman for President Joe Biden, claimed she wakes up every morning at 4:30 a.m. and prepares all day for her White House press briefings.
• “My day starts pretty early, 4:30 in the morning I get up I start reading in,” Jean-Pierre said in an interview with the Fox affiliate in Los Angeles. “I have my first meeting around 7:30 in the morning with my team, and then it just continues. We’re prepping for the briefing room.”
Why it matters: This was shocking news to anyone who has ever watched Jean-Pierre bumble her way through a White House press briefing.
