VIDEO: CNN Guest Obliterates Biden’s Justifications for Mistreatment of Seventh Grandchild
Republican Strategist Sets the Record Straight on President Biden’s Treatment of Grandchild
Republican political strategist Scott Jennings addressed President Joe Biden’s treatment of his seventh grandchild during a lively CNN panel on Sunday.
“It’s not Republicans, with all due respect, who made Hunter Biden into a complete scumbag on this and other issues,” Jennings passionately stated on CNN’s State of the Union. “The ignoring his own daughter, for four years! And the president of the United States hanging up a stocking for the dog, and not for his seventh grandchild!”
Jennings’s comments came after CNN anchor Kasie Hunt highlighted Joe Biden’s emphasis on being a family man in his political identity. However, she interrupted Jennings to remind him to keep the conversation respectful and to show sympathy for those struggling with addiction.
The discussion arose after the president finally acknowledged his seventh grandchild late Friday in a statement to People magazine. Biden, who had previously refused to acknowledge his granddaughter’s existence, expressed that he and first lady Jill Biden want what is best for all their grandchildren, including Navy, the daughter of Hunter Biden and his former mistress Lunden Alexis Roberts.
This statement followed mounting pressure on Joe Biden to recognize Hunter Biden’s lovechild. A recent New York Times profile on the child and her mother brought attention to the issue, and columnist Maureen Dowd’s piece titled “It’s Seven Grandkids, Mr. President” further emphasized the importance of acknowledging the child.
Jennings reminded Hunt of the reality faced by many families dealing with addiction. “You know who ends up picking up the pieces?” Jennings asked. “The grandparents. And in this case, the grandparents would not acknowledge this little girl. It is offensive.”
