Customer effortlessly takes down armed robbery suspect while holding his six-pack of beer.
Newly-Released Surveillance Video Shows Heroic Customer Taking Down Armed Robber
Last month, a convenience store in Cassopolis, Michigan, became the scene of a dramatic robbery and shooting. However, what makes this story truly remarkable is that the customer who intervened didn’t even put down his beer while taking down the armed suspect.
The incredible footage of the incident was recently obtained by WOOD-TV, and it has since gone viral.
The video begins with a man dressed in all black and with his face covered approaching the store clerk, demanding money from the cash register. Little did he know that a hero was about to step in.
As the suspect interacts with the clerk, a man with a six-pack of beer can be seen watching from behind a shelf. This customer, whose identity remains unknown, calmly draws his handgun without even setting down his beer.

In a swift and calculated move, the armed customer fires seven shots, effectively neutralizing the robber. Remarkably, he never puts down his beer throughout the entire ordeal.
After the shooting, the heroic customer even goes back to his car to retrieve another magazine for his pistol before re-entering the store and holding the suspect until the police arrive.
The robber, identified as 35-year-old Anthony Martin, sustained gunshot wounds to his arm, back, and face. He survived the incident and was charged with armed robbery after being released from the hospital.
While the shooter had a license to lawfully carry his firearm, the local prosecutor is still investigating the case before deciding whether to press charges.
Cass County prosecutor Victor Fitz explained, “In Michigan, obviously, we do have defense of others as part of the law in Michigan, that you can defend others if they’re in a situation that there’s dangerous force being used against them. And certainly in this case, we’ll be looking at the facts in regard to that.”
The store clerk, who was undoubtedly grateful for the customer’s heroic actions, spoke to WOOD-TV and said, “He saved my life.”
If convicted, Martin could face up to life in prison due to his three prior felony convictions.
This incredible story of bravery and quick thinking serves as a reminder that heroes can be found in the most unexpected places, even while holding a six-pack of beer.
