Hunter Biden’s Former Business Partner Reveals Apology Letter from Joe Biden
In an interview with Tucker Carlson this week, Hunter Biden’s former business partner unveiled a 2011 letter that contradicts President Joe Biden’s repeated claims of non-involvement in his son’s business dealings.
“I apologize for not getting a chance to talk to you at the luncheon yesterday. I was having trouble getting away from hosting President Hu,” then-Vice President Biden wrote in a letter dated January 20, 2011, to Devon Archer, the former associate of Hunter Biden who recently testified to the House Oversight Committee about the president’s role in his son’s dealings.
“President Hu” refers to Hu Jintao, the president of China at the time, suggesting that Biden intended to prioritize meeting with his son’s business partner over a foreign dignitary.
“I hope I get a chance to see you again soon with Hunter. I hope you enjoyed lunch. Thanks for coming,” the letter concluded, with a handwritten portion reading, ”P.S. Happy you guys are together.”
This letter starkly contrasts Joe Biden’s long-held claims that he had no involvement in Hunter Biden’s business.
“I have never discussed with my son or my brother or anyone else anything having to do with their businesses, period,” Joe Biden said in August 2019.
During his testimony to the House Oversight Committee, Archer, who served on the board of Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings with Hunter Biden, revealed that Hunter Biden called his father more than 20 times during business meetings to promote the Biden “brand.”
In a 2011 email to Archer, Hunter Biden bragged about how a Chinese businessman admired his “last name.”
“Your question—’why does Super Chair love me so much?’ is easily answered. It has nothing to do with me and everything to do with my last name,” Biden wrote to Archer in September 2011. “Super Chair” refers to businessman Che Feng, who helped Biden partner with a Chinese firm. Biden’s comment, which was revealed by the New York Post, appeared in an email found on his abandoned laptop.
Joe Biden has also claimed that his son made no money from China, a statement contradicted by Hunter Biden himself last week.
“My son has not made money in terms of this thing about, what are you talking about, China,” Joe Biden said during an October 2020 debate.
However, in court last week, Hunter Biden admitted, ”I started a company [in 2017] called Hudson West, Your Honor, and my partner was associated with a Chinese energy company called CEFC,” contradicting his father’s claims, as reported by The New York Post.
Hunter Biden also confirmed that he made $664,000 from a “Chinese infrastructure investment company,” as stated in the court transcript, reported by Fox News.
