LIVE: Donald Trump to arrive at Fulton County Jail for self-arrest.
Former President Donald Trump to be Booked at Fulton County Jail
Get ready for a dramatic turn of events as former President Donald Trump is set to arrive and be booked at Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, Georgia. This marks his fourth criminal case this year, adding to the already intense legal battles he is facing.
Trump’s arrival is expected sometime on Thursday evening, although the exact time has not been disclosed. The Federal Aviation Administration has even issued temporary flight restrictions for a one-nautical-mile radius around the jail from 6:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. EDT, indicating the significance of this event.
What to Expect When Trump Turns Himself In
Upon his arrival at the jail, the former president will be subjected to the standard procedures enforced by law enforcement. This includes having his mug shot taken, a departure from his previous indictments. Additionally, he is anticipated to undergo fingerprinting by officers.
Trump finds himself alongside 18 co-defendants, all facing extensive charges related to alleged attempts to overturn Georgia’s 2020 general election results. Notably, some of these co-defendants, such as former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and former lawyers Rudy Giuliani, Jenna Ellis, and Sidney Powell, have already had their mug shots taken and were released on bond following regular protocols.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has proposed a tentative arraignment date for Trump and the other defendants during the week of September 5. However, no official confirmation has been made yet. Willis has also requested a trial date of October 23, emphasizing the seriousness of the charges.
This indictment in Fulton County is just one of the four legal battles Trump is currently facing. He is also dealing with two federal indictments, one concerning his handling of classified documents and another related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election. Furthermore, he faces a fourth case in Manhattan, where he was charged in March for hush money payments made during the 2016 campaign.
