The Senate Judiciary Committee is holding a hearing on legalized sports betting at 10 a.m.
Former NFL player Johnson Bademosi, National Collegiate Athletic Association President Charlie Baker, Gambling counselor Harry Levant, former Director of the Division of Gaming Enforcement David Rebuck, and National Council on Problem Gambling President Keith Whyte will be testifying.
A recent push to legalize sports betting, much more convenient, popular, and accessible than typical gambling, has been met with concerns over negative public health effects.
