President Donald Trump is set to hold a press briefing regarding the tragic midair collision involving American Airlines Flight 5342 and a military Black Hawk helicopter near Ronald reagan Washington National Airport. The briefing,expected to start at 11 a.m., will include Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.The crash occurred shortly before 9 p.m. on Wednesday as the American Airlines flight,carrying 60 passengers and four crew members,was approaching the airport. There were also three individuals aboard the military helicopter. Early reports from officials indicate that there are no expected survivors from the incident.

President Donald Trump is holding a press briefing on the deadly midair crash of American Airlines Flight 5342 and military Black Hawk Sikorsky H-60 outside Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
The briefing from the White House is expected to begin at 11 a.m. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth are expected to be there.
The crash happened just before 9 p.m. Wednesday night, as the American Airlines flight from Wichita, Kansas, was on approach to land at Reagan Airport.
There were 60 passengers and four crew members on the American Airlines flight and three people on the military helicopter. Officials Thursday morning said they do not believe there will be any survivors.
