WATCH LIVE: Trump holds first 2024 campaign rally in Texas as indictment fears loom

Former President Donald Trump is set to host his first official campaign rally in Waco, Texas, on Saturday amid reports of looming indictment charges coming out of Manhattan related to a hush money case that emerged during his first presidential run in 2016.

At 6 p.m. EST on Saturday, Trump will give a speech to supporters at the Waco Regional Airport in an effort to declare Texas” Trump place” before the GOP realm becomes overcrowded. Trump’s campaign drew attention to that data that emerged from the Lone Star state over the past several weeks, demonstrating that Trump has overtaken Florida Governor in an early lead. In January, Ron DeSantis took the field by 16 factors, and in March, he did the same.

Trump could be charged with a crime as soon as next year, which is why the promotion event is taking place. If charged, it would be the first day a former leader had ever been charged in American history. Trump’s necessary prices are still unknown, but earlier this month, after his former lawyer Michael Cohen testified before the Manhattan great rumors, rumors of a potential prosecution surfaced.

After admitting to paying two wives, including Stormy Daniels, who accused Trump of having sex with her, to keep quiet, Cohen was found guilty in 2018. Cohen paid Daniels$ 30,000 as part of the plan, and was thereafter paid back by the Trump Organization.

Later, Manhattan’s attorneys began looking into the possibility that Trump had fabricated venture records in order to claim the insurance. In New York, this type of offense is a criminal, but if Bragg’s work asserts that the fraud was meant to cover up another crime, it could be elevated to the rank of felony.
