WATCH: Riley Gaines not deterred by violent protest in San Francisco

Riley Gaines, former University of Kentucky swimmer, vowed that she would not be deterred after a violent protest at her San Francisco State University speech this week.

Gaines gained notoriety for opposing Lia Thomas, a transgender adult biological males and University of Pennsylvania swimmer who competes against her in high-level swim competitions.

She was given the opportunity to discuss her battle with biological male athletes competing in women’s’s sports on Thursday night at the San Francisco chapter of Turning Point USA. The comments of the 12-time All-American swimmer were muffled by a group of pro-transgender demonstrators who had grown louder outside the room. Later, the protesters entered the space where Gaines was speaking.

She remarked,” It was terrifying ,” to Fox News host Tucker Carlson. ” I was never given any kind of action plan by the law. I was invited to the school by Turning Point USA. I spoke in a very polite and respectful manner, engaging in lively conversation with sometimes protesters who were sitting in.

Gaines claimed that as protesters crowded the room, she was” rushed to a safer place without anyone it.”

I received a punch. I took several blows. I felt pushed. We eventually left the room, but we were unable to do so because the demonstrators had flooded the hallways. I was barricaded for three years after being pushed into a school, she claimed.

She posted a video of the terrifying world, in which activists chased after her and police barricaded her for almost three hours as they rushed through the doorway.

She thought it was” chilling” how the campus police were reluctant to” touch” protesters.

Gaines intends to file a police report against the activists who attacked her.
